Meet Our Founder
Elder M. A. Gilyard, D.Min
She is a native of Columbus, GA; She was predestined as an Ambassador of the Kingdom of Christ at an early age. Her development was hewn from humble beginnings. With a passion for music, ministry and youth this vision was birthed forth. As a preacher’s kid, she was favored to glean an immeasurable amount of experience and wisdom through servitude to the people of God. Although she has served in numerous capacities in the church, outreach is her passion. She radiates a heart of intention for youth and young adults alike. She strives to be an example that points others toward Christ.
She officially yielded to the call of ministry in April of 1996. She preached her initial sermon on Youth Sunday in May of that same year. She was licensed as a Minister of the Gospel at the Christian Fellowship National Convention in August of 1998. She was ordained as Elder in November of the following year.
She is a prolific orator, an anointed psalmist, and an accomplished songwriter. Her life-long commitment to the ministry for the Kingdom of God emanates mercy, exudes tenacity, and exhilarates the Joy of the Lord!
She is a prudent student of the Word of God. She draws her motivation from Job 36:3, “I will bring my knowledge from afar and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.”
She is an alumna of the 1995 Graduating Class of the G.W. Carver High School, Columbus, GA. She furthered her education at Chattahoochee Valley Community College, Phenix City, AL where she earned an Associate of Science degree in Liberal Arts in 1998. She is a two-time graduate and alumna of Beulah Heights University, Atlanta, GA where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Education in May of 2007 and her master’s degree in leadership studies in May of 2009. And as recent as August 2022 defended her thesis and completed the degree plan prescribed by South College of Knoxville, TN to earn her Doctor of Ministry degree. She is the Chief Executive Officer of The Mission Minded Group, Mission Minded Ministries and MG Musiq.
